Giving Back
Many times the road to self-development changes from a single lane street into a multi-level highway. One level represents you and the help you receive.
The other level represents the help you can give. Below are some ways to give back in Toastmasters:
Give speeches and participate in meetings. The audience learns by listening and watching the different styles of speaking and leadership skills.
Be a mentor to a new club member. New members need guidance about our club meeting format, the meeting roles, and their first few speeches.
Be a club mentor. New clubs and troubled clubs require help too. Contact our Area or District Governor for more information. Coaching a club is one of the requirements for earning an AL Silver and is a great leadership opportunity!
As Toastmasters, we care, share, reach and teach.
